Hi! Hello! Great to meet you and thank you for joining me on this weird and wonderful journey of blogging!

My name is Daisy (or is it..?!). June 2025 was probably the worst month I’ve lived through. Period. And essentially it’s been the downfall into this crazy ride of side hustles and career changes, a little bit like a midlife crisis and mental meltdown..! Here is a little intro as to why this blog exists now.. And I hope you’ll follow along to get to know me, and I can get to know you, and maybe just maybe I’ll entertain you a little bit with my trials and tribulations as a mum to 2 under 5, side hustling for my life whilst changing my career to something totally different and studying part time too…. Busy busy!

This could get confusing so bear with it… I’m a faceless alter ego on one side of my side hustles, and a very face forward and open personality on my other ones, so it might mix in between… Who knows, maybe you’ll meet us both along the way!

After an absolutely horrendous moment in my career, I decided that I just couldn’t do it anymore. It wasn’t for me, it’s changed too much. As a mum, I really don’t need a stressful job which zaps the enjoyment out of life! So, I turned to linkedin, indeed, reed, you name it! If jobs were posted on it, I registered. Searching for a job is NOT something I want to rush into again anytime soon… oh my word.

It didn’t look great to start off with… I have no experience in any other sector except retail, and I just didn’t know what I wanted to do. I looked at everything, recruitment, HR – I even nearly signed up for a CIPD course randomly. I was desperate for something, anything, to rescue me from the clutches of retail doom.

So I decided to try and start some side hustles, as it was looking like I was going to need to take a big pay cut, and we need the money these days right!? Cost of living crisis and all… please kids are EXPENSIVE!

Jack of all trades incoming……. I’m now a LIVE host on TikTok, TikTok shop affiliate, digital marketing beginner, business owner on etsy and stan, all the while juggling all of this across two different accounts, one faceless and one very personal. Anything to make a bit of money on the side, turns out it’s a lot harder than it looks and I’ve so far made zilch.. 0.0

In a complete turn of events, I got an interview at a job I applied for in a primary school locally to me. Great! In a bit of a quick intro, I’m currently studying with the Open University on a Primary Education degree, so an interview for an LSA or an admin assistant in the local primary was perfect! Not to mention the hours when you have small children!

It was eventful to say the least, so I don’t want to spoil what would be an amazing story, but essentially I walked into an admin interview and walked out with an LSA job.. more on that later.

So here I am, a mum to two, part time degree studying, side hustling non-earner, about to embark on a wonderous journey into working with children and being an LSA to start out. I hope to teach one day… watch this space!

So I’ll be back. 1, to actually introduce myself properly to you! Give you some info about me and my life, tell you a bit about my background etc etc. 2, I’ll fill you in on the crazy morning that was interview day. And 3, tell you all about my journey into teaching, how my course is going, and how my side hustles are going too! Maybe I can convince you to join me on the digital journey and buy my course I sell via affiliate… jk… unless you really want it…!

Join me! Give me a follow/subscribe. And watch this space for more!

Sending much love to you all, speak soon! :)
